During the 2022-23 School year I competed in the 17th Annual Liberty University FACS Fashion Show.

In this competition I was challenged to design an outfit inspired by my own life and portray it through the fashion I designed. Inspired by my life on the farm and the dichotomy of being a woman in a manual labor work force I created a light weight floral dress from vintage cotton and a heavy quilted jacket. I created the quilting for the jacket from scratch and the draping and pin-tucks of the dress by hand. 

From my efforts I was awarded the Best Construction Award and the Overall Best in Show Award.

After the show I was also able to display my designs in the Family and Consumer Sciences window displays.
